Im looking to buy a new mixer but really cannot decide which to go for between the DJM-400 or the numark 5000fx. Theyve both got features to be desired for but the DJM hasnt got a booth output, instead its got two main outputs which i assume would have to be at the same volume meaning recording and broadcasting could be an issue. The extra channels seem quite appealing for the numark. Also I currently have a behringer djx700 which is a 4 channel mixer and going to a 2 channel, small pioneer might feel awkward. But I suppose its between Pioneer or Numark
hope someone can give me some advice
cheers

I think the DJX700 that you've already got is a cracking mixer for the money and I've seen a few bars choosing it over the more expensive A & H & Pioneer mixers! The Newmark is cool and makes a great sound but without the booth output will definitely cause broadcasting problems as I've recently found out myself & you can't really go wrong wrong with the Pioneer. It's a great mixer but it comes with a big price tag to match!
What does everyone else think?.....

yeh the behringer is alright but the effects are a bit crap and some of the faders are making a crackly noise now, the booth volume is leaking a bit and the volume sliders arent too good as the volume increases too much towards the top end rather than spread out across the whole slide. What mixer do you have? I am really beginning to like the look of the 5000fx though

when lookin at both, u gotta say the 5000, just looks like ur gettin so much more!! i have to say that pioneer dj equipment that i have used is all top draw, it's gunna be more of a case of wat do u need more? booth out for shows and all the features of the 5000 is too much to miss i think, and at around the same price a winner here i think..

5000FX doesn’t look that bad actually but I would just save up a little bit more and get a DJM 600, because it not only looks good, but has everything a DJ could need also, like extra channels and really good FX etc.

Mmmmmmm I wouldnt mind a DJM600 but I cant see that happening to be honest. I think Im gona go for the 5000fx, simply becuase I will get much more for my money and I have the flexibilty of adding turntables to my setup etc!

I just had a propper look @ the 5000fx and you really do get a lot of mixer for your money! If it's down to that and the DJM400 then the Newmark definitely offers better value and a lot more toys, but see if you can get an extended warranty! I had a Newmark mixer a couple of years ago and the effects stopped working after about 6months. The good think about the Pioneer is they are V reliable. Have you considered the DJM 600? It has an almost identical layout to the Behringer that you already have but it really is top quality!!

mmm yeh i just wana get a half decent mixer tbh and then eventually get sum pioneer cdjs...thatl be the day lol...im considering the djm400 over the 5000fx again as ive read both good and bad reviews for the 5000fx and only good reviews for the djm400. I know im gonna get quality if i buy pioneer though

Don't get the Numark 5000fx, i've used it many times and i hate it. With a passionate hate that could only come from the pure evil that is everything Numark.
